“Guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life; don’t for a minute lose sight of them. They’ll keep your soul alive and well…..” Proverbs 3:21-22 (msg)
My sister is famous for staying “clear minded and neutral” in situations. I thought it was funny with a little bit of truth. Then, I read this verse, and it changed the way that I thought about it. Out of the wisdom of Proverbs, we are admonished to guard clear thinking and common sense. It would seemingly be an easy task, but its actually really hard. Common sense is not so common anymore. Life is complicated and tries to continually cloud our view.

It will change the way you make decisions. The way that you process life will be different. It seems like it should be more complicated to keep your soul alive and well. God’s design of the universe includes principles that are practical. Following God is not some church activity. It’s about living your life down to the last detail in accordance with the truth of His Word.
God’s way is the best way… down to the last detail 🙂
