Scripture:
“If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24
Perspective:
Have you ever fallen down the stairs? It’s not very much fun. You lose your balance, and its seems impossible to regain your footing until you have reached the bottom. But, sometimes, you just miss a couple of steps and don’t actually fall.
God promises to make your steps firm as you walk in Him. No falling down the “stairs” for you! Think about the size of God’s hand. He is upholding you with His hand. Webster defines upholding as “to give support to, to keep elevated, and to lift up.” God wants to help you rise above your pain, mistakes, and failures. The power and strength of God is at your disposal. So, when you stumble and fall, rise in the power of God. No more stumbling around for you…Honor God and your steps will be firm!
