Perspective:
Have you ever had a setback? You were excited, anticipating something to work out, and it didn’t. Not only did it not work out, you were 12 steps behind where you started. Rick Warren once said, “God is far more concerned with our character than our comfort.” Setbacks are uncomfortable. What is God growing in you through this “setback” moment?
God’s Word promises that our setbacks are only set-ups for something greater. Although it might be hard to see at the time, God is working in the details of our lives to bring good in the midst of the bad. God has a way of turning our situations around, no matter where we are, and accomplishing something through our disappointment, discouragement, or setback. Be encouraged today that God is on your side, working in your life. Don’t allow your setbacks to be final failures. Change your perspective and see that God is setting you up for something that you can’t even anticipate!
